La presentación de nalgas se define como la situación longitudinal del feto en donde su pelvis está en contacto con el estrecho superior de la pelvis materna. También denominada presentación pelviana o podálica.

Su incidencia varía en función de la edad gestacional. De manera global se estima en un 3-4% a término. Antes de la semana 28 su incidencia asciende incluso al 25-30%, ya que la mayoría se versionan de manera espontánea entre las semanas 28 y 32. En un estudio prospectivo se observó que la probabilidad de versión espontánea después de la semana 36 es del 25%.
