Dolor abdominal agudo en la edad pediátrica


El dolor abdominal es un motivo de consulta muy frecuente en toda la edad pediátrica tanto en los Centros de Atención Primaria como en los Servicios de Urgencias Hospitalarios. Aunque en la mayoría de casos el dolor abdominal se debe a procesos benignos, en ocasiones se trata de una verdadera emergencia médica o quirúrgica, por lo que un diagnóstico adecuado permite un tratamiento precoz y una disminución de su morbilidad. En el presente trabajo se abordan los conceptos fundamentales para la orientación el diagnóstica y tratamiento ante la sospecha de esta patología.
