Actualización en el manejo de la psoriasis moderada/ grave


La psoriasis es una enfermedad cutánea crónica y recidivante que afecta aproximadamente al 1,4% de la población española, con unas diferencias geográficas que pueden llegar a casi al 2% de la población.

El tratamiento de la psoriasis moderada/grave es difícil debido a la falta de respuesta clínica y a los efectos secundarios de los tratamientos sistémicos, siendo insatisfactorio para la mayoría de pacientes que son demandantes de formas más eficaces de tratamiento. A esta dificultad de manejo de la psoriasis moderada/grave se unen las comorbilidades propias de la psoriasis como la dislipemia, la hipertensión, la obesidad asociada a síndrome metabólico o hígado graso y alcoholismo, que sin duda hacen todavía más difícil en manejo de la enfermedad.
